Steph Noell
Special Collections Librarian for UTSA Libraries
they/them
While I have only been with UTSA for 2 years, I have been working in higher education for more than 20 years. In addition to libraries, I have worked in theatre (mostly tech), been a philosophy and library science teaching/research assistant, taught as a philosophy adjunct, and worked in a philosophy department office. As a queer, non-binary professional, my goal is to create welcoming spaces where students can freely pursue their research interests. As a librarian, I am here to talk about whatever’s on your mind and maybe recommend some resources that might be of interest. I am also a comics nerd with ADHD who spends their Saturdays playing D&D and the rest of the week bingeing comics-related movies and TV as well as shows that featured artisans plying their craft (think GBBO, Make It, or Repair Shop). The queer communities I have been lucky enough to be a part of provided me with a space to figure myself out and I hope to pay that forward to the next LGBTQIA+ generation.
